Sterile Processing and Distribution
I would like to offer a small
token of appreciation to Marie Kramer for her exceptional team spirit and caring
for everyone. Marie treats everyone she comes in contact with great respect,
love and consideration. She truly exhibits her commitment to our mission here
at LRHS. Her continual special gifts to her co-workers are overshadowed by
her continual displays of love for her fellow man. Whether you are working
directly with Marie or if she hears someone having difficulties, Marie will
try to help. Marie is, without a doubt, an angel on earth. She never stops
and never expects anything in return. We can all learn from Marie about how
we need to treat each other and offer love, kindness and caring.

Clinical Informatics
This was my first time taking call in my new department.
There was a problem with charting in the ED that I didn’t know how to fix.
Carl-who was not on call-- took two phone calls at home, called the ED to assist
and called me back to fill me in on how to handle the problem. Thank you for
your help and making me feel comfortable even though I was bugging you at home.

Community Health Center
Dee Dee arranged and paid for transportation of an elderly terminally ill
patient to come into the Community Health Center so he did not have to walk
in the extremely cold weather. Thanks Dee Dee.

Thank you Sue, for finding and returning my son’s savings account
book. How wonderfully honest and God bless you. We need more people around
like you. I can never thank you enough.

Rehabilitation Services
I just wanted to let you all know what a great team player we have in Rehab
Services. On Saturday, I received an order for a wound care evaluation on
an involved patient. I was looking for some guidance regarding what type
of dressings may be appropriate for this involved wound. I tried calling
several therapists, however, no one was available until I got in contact
with Brian. After much discussion about the patient’s status. Brian insisted
on coming in on Sunday morning (on a holiday weekend, no less) to look at
the patient with me. I repeatedly told him that it was absolutely unnecessary
and that I did not want him to do that. However, Brian would not take no
for an answer. With Brian’s guidance, I was able to take care of the patient
to the best of my ability. Brian went above and beyond what was necessary
to help me out and I just wanted everyone to be aware of the great team player
we have on our staff. I think it is important to recognize him for all he
did to help me out. Thank you Brian!

Pulmonary Rehab
I have had to come in numerous times for PFT tests due to a chronic condition.
Two weeks ago, I had to come in early Monday and late on Friday to have tests
per my doctor. Karen came in on her days off to give me the tests. WOW! She
is always friendly and helpful and puts me at ease. Karen goes above and
beyond any quality standards that you might have set. She is truly an asset
to my healthcare and I consider her part of my healthcare team.
