La��Porte Hospital Auxiliary
- Several awards of $750 are available to students who are applying for the first time.
- Several renewals of $1,000 are available for students applying for a second year, based on satisfactory academic progress and need.
- One $500 Auxiliary Bowen Scholarship is funded by the Bowen Family in memory of Harold and Marcy Bowen.
- Door Prairie Painters sponsors a scholarship to a student pursuing a career in healthcare. Funding is generated through the group’s donation of fully-decorated Christmas trees, adorned with hand-painted ornaments that they create throughout the year.
- Abby’s Pet Visitation Scholarship, in the amount of $500, is presented to a student pursuing a career in healthcare. This scholarship is funded through the "Dollars for Doers" program of the Whirlpool Foundation on behalf of Cathy Albrecht, an avid participant in the hospital’s pet visitation volunteer program.
- Student must either be a resident of the La Porte Regional Health System service area, an employee (or child of an employee) of La Porte Regional Health System, or a La Porte Hospital Auxiliary member.
- Students must be in their freshman or sophomore year and must be enrolled full-time in a health career field at an accredited school.
The La Porte Regional Health System service area includes: La Porte County; northern Starke County; New Carlisle; Walkerton; and southern Berrien County, Michigan.
