Thank you to all who supported the La Porte Hospital Foundation 21st Annual Healthcare Scholarship golf tournament on June 18, 2009!
The La Porte Hospital Foundation was pleased to host the 21st Annual Healthcare Scholarship Golf Tournament to fund healthcare scholarships and philanthropic programs and services for La Porte Regional Health System and the community. A field of 134 golfers and countless volunteers displayed their support at Briar Leaf Golf Club in La Porte, raising $30,000 for student health care scholarships and other philanthropic needs.
“The La Porte Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament is again a success due to the caring involvement of a hard working committee, chaired by board member John Leinweber. We truly appreciate the support of many companies and individuals for their underwriting and participation, and Briar Leaf Golf Club,” Maria Fruth, Foundation executive vice president and chief operating officer.
The tournament, celebrating its twenty-first anniversary, included 18 holes of golf with a cart, player favors, lunch exciting contests, beverage carts, post-tournament celebration and dinner, tournament awards, a silent auction and a drawing of more than $4,000 in prizes.
