This class is offered in tandem with Basic Infant Heartsaver CPR and Choking.

These basic level classes do include a certification card that is good for two years. This course is applicable to persons in positions requiring basic life support, such as day care, bus drivers, and industrial settings. This course does not qualify for persons currently employed in or entering a health care profession. (See previous listings for Healthcare Provider CPR Classes)

For additional information, please call Staff Education at the number above. Preregistration is required. Class size is limited to 18 students, and must have a minimum of 4 students per class.

This group provides an atmosphere in which family members can feel “safe” and supported, as they are free to share with others in a structured environment. During these free community seminars, individuals have the opportunity to get an array of information about the type of joint pain or symptoms they are experiencing. People who have knee or hip pain, stiffness, swelling, or a combination of these symptoms, may be experiencing arthritis of the hip or knee, conditions that may be treatable without the need for surgery. The ultimate goal of these seminars is to help people assess the type of pain they are experiencing and work toward making informed decisions about how to proceed to obtain a good diagnosis.
