SMH announces Vice President of Patient Care Services

Starke Memorial Hospital (SMH) announces Lori Dudeck, RN, to the position of Vice President of Patient Care Services.

In her role, Dudeck serves as a key nursing and patient care administrative officer for SMH, giving direction to the delivery of patient care and setting a desirable clinical tone to all aspects of clinical management.

Dudeck brings more than 18 years of experience to the position. Previously, she served as the Director of Human Resources for La Porte Regional Health System (LRHS). During her five-year tenure as Director, she participated in the health system winning the Best Places to Work in Indiana, Best Places to Work in Healthcare and Family Friendly Workplace awards in 2008. Prior, she served as the Director of Employee Health and Emergency Management for LRHS for two years during which the organization became a Clarian Health Partner.

Dudeck began her career as a Health Tech for LRHS and later became a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical unit. She worked in multiple roles in HomeCare and Hospice for the Visiting Nurse Association. She also has experience in Utilization and Quality Review.

She received her Master of Business Administration from Purdue University North Central, Bachelor of Science from Ball State University and Associate of Science from Purdue University North Central. She is a member of the Northern Indiana Human Resources Management Association, Association of Healthcare Human Resources Administrators, Society for Human Resources Management and Association of Occupational Healthcare Professionals, where she serves as Treasurer for the Indiana Chapter since 2004.

Dudeck lives in La Porte with her husband Jim.
