Exercise & Fitness

Feel healthy by improving your life through exercise and fitness. The Wellness Center, located at The Crossing, offers a non-competitive environment that encourages personal growth and success. Our highly trained staff is available to provide individualized attention, coaching and answer any questions along the way. To make health and fitness more enjoyable, the gym area is equipped with a wireless entertainment system for individuals to exercise while enjoying their favorite television, music or audiovisual programs.

Programs and Classes

Health Track
This program begins with an orientation which includes a tour, blood pressure, finger-stick cholesterol and blood sugar screenings, resting heart rate, target heart rate, height, weight, waist and body fat measurements, and balance and extremity strength assessments. This information is used to determine key areas of necessary health improvement as well as indicators for good health. Specialized staff will assist the individual in creating positive changes based on the targeted areas determined during the orientation. Fitness Classes and Personal Consultations
The Wellness Center offers a variety of fitness classes to fit the needs of our members. Personal Consultations are also available. Call (219) 326-2480 to schedule your personal consultation.

Yoga Classes

Circuit Training

Zumba® Fitness
Dance your way to a fitter you using exciting and unique Latin moves and rhythms. It’s a whole new way to get in your aerobic activity! Zumba® Gold incorporates this same, upbeat Latin influence with comfortable chair exercises for seniors, de-conditioned adults, or those with mobility challenges.
